Gutter Repair Service
Having your gutters repaired in a prompt manner is essential to the safety of your property. Gutters provide protection to your property from water downpour, directing the water safely from your roof to the gutters, through your downspouts and to the drainage points in the ground. If you have damaged gutters, this can affect the overall operation of your guttering system and cause flooding either within your property or on the external perimeter of your property. Both of these situations can be avoided by maintaining your gutters and having repairs completed when needed.
Cause of repairs
There can be a range of causes for gutter repairs, including impact from a tree branch, lack of maintenance causing cracking and corrosion or strong winds damaging the joins in your guttering. Most of the time these causes cannot be avoided, however by having your gutters cleaned and inspected on a regular basis, you will be able to prepare for repair works and often have them completed before the become a hazard to the integrity of your property. Our professionals inspect the guttering systems of our clients when we complete cleaning works to ensure that everything is up to standard and any causes for concern are flagged in advance.
Process for repairing
The process for repairs varies based on the cause of the damage. If your gutters have started to come away from the property and cause internal leaks, we are able to properly fix these back to your property without the need of having to replace the section of gutter in most instances. If there is a crack in a section of your guttering, that section of the gutter will need to be removed and replaced by an undamaged section of guttering to ensure that they are able to direct water flow efficiently. If two sections of gutter have become disjoined, we are generally able to affix them together without the need for replacement guttering sections.
Downspouts are the pipes that direct water from your guttering system down to the drainage points for rainwater. If there is damage to your downspouts, they will require repair so that you do not have flooding on the exterior of your property. In some cases blockages can cause damages that result in bust pipes that will require full or partial replacement. If your downspouts have become disconnected from the gutters at the top, we will likely be able to fix these back together without the need for replacement if the disconnection is not due to a damaged pipe.
When we complete repair or replacement works, we are able to color match these repairs to your current guttering system. This means that when we complete the repair task completely, you will unlikely be able to tell where the repair works have taken place. This is of course dependent on the age of your guttering system and any change or fading in the color of your existing guttering system.
